Portrait Pricing:

8" x 10" — $325 (single subject only)
11" x 14" — $475 (two subject max.)
16" x 20" — $725 (three subject max.)
18" x 24" — $1025 (four subject max.)

Presentation & Finishing:

Every portrait includes a custom mat and protective covering, ready for framing:

• 8" x 10" → matted to 11" x 14"
• 11" x 14" → matted to 16" x 20"
• 16" x 20" → matted to 18" x 24"
• 18" x 24" → matted to 22" x 28"

Artwork is created on acid-free Bristol paper and sealed with a professional fixative to preserve the integrity of the charcoal. Once completed, your portrait is carefully sleeved and packaged for safe delivery or local pickup.

Your Photo:

The quality of your portrait begins with the photo you provide.

Please submit a clear, high-resolution image that is well-lit and in focus. Close-up images work best—full body photos are not recommended. The eyes should be sharp and clearly visible, as they are essential to capturing your pet’s expression.

You are also encouraged to share a bit about your pet, their personality, quirks, and story. This connection allows Shay to bring greater depth, emotion, and authenticity into the final piece.

Process & Timing:

Each portrait is created by hand and typically completed within 2–3 weeks (timing may vary slightly during holidays). Before shipment or pickup, you will receive a preview image via email to ensure you are completely satisfied. Adjustments can be made at this stage, your portrait will not be shipped until it feels just right.

Local clients in the Glens Falls, NY area may request studio pickup.

Payment & Policies:

• Full payment is required at the time of ordering
• All custom commissions are non-refundable
• Refunds or replacements are only considered if artwork arrives damaged

If damage occurs during shipping, please contact ARTBYSHAY@GMAIL.COM within 7 days of delivery and include clear photos of the artwork and packaging.

Shay retains full copyright of all artwork created. All images are protected under United States and international copyright laws. Artwork may not be reproduced, distributed, or used for profit without written permission. ArtByShay reserves the right to use and share commissioned artwork for portfolio, marketing, and promotional purposes.

Satisfaction Guarantee:

A preview will always be provided before shipment. If for any reason you are not fully satisfied, Shay will work with you to make any necessary refinements until your portrait feels complete.
